Pedestrian Hit and Injured in Schuylkill County Crash

David W. Moyer Injured in Crash with Motorcycle in Schuylkill County
Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania (August 16, 2017) – A pedestrian was hit and injured by a motorcycle in North Manheim Township on Tuesday afternoon, according to state police.
The incident took place at about 2:18 p.m. August 15, along Route 61 in North Manheim Township.
According to troopers, David W. Moyer, 61, of Schuylkill Haven, was walking along the southbound shoulder and started to cross the roadway.
Beaujustin G. Kufro, 38, also of Schuylkill Haven was operating a 2003 Kawasaki Vulcan southbound of the left lane. Moyer walked into Kufro’s path when he was hit by the front tire of the bike. Moyer, in turn, hit the left mirror on the bike and stopped in the left lane.
Moyer was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital East Norwegian Street, Pottsville Campus.
Limited details about the extent of his injuries were available.
Kufro was hospitalized at Lehigh Valley Hospital with injuries described as minor.
Authorities are still investigating the incident.
