Hatfield Township, Pennsylvania (August 25, 2017) – A man was killed after he was struck by a vehicle Wednesday night in Hatfield Township, according to a press release by the Hatfield Police Department.

The fatal event occurred at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 23 in the 1700 block of North Broad Street.

As per the article, a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV was traveling eastbound on North Broad Street. A male pedestrian tried crossing the roadway and walked into the SUV’s path. The man was struck and severely injured by the vehicle.

The victim was airlifted to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia for treatment. Unfortunately, he later succumbed to the injuries and died in the hospital.

Authorities are investigating the deadly incident.
