Police Locate Jeep Possibly Involved in Fatal Hit-And-Run Crash that Killed Ann Broderick in Center City

Collingdale, Pennsylvania (August 16, 2017) – Police investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a woman in Center City have located a Jeep believed is the vehicle described in the incident.

Investigators located a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon in Delaware County. Police say the vehicle has damage to the right side fender and a substance resembling human tissue in the right side wheel well.

The authorities are searching for any DNA evidence as well as looking for any hair, fibers, and fingerprints.

The suspect vehicle is believed to have hit 53-year-old Ann Broderick, a homeless woman, when she was crossing the street just before 3:30 a.m. Sunday, August 6 in the 1300 block of Race.

Based on surveillance footage near the crash site, a Jeep fitting the description and its owner were seen during the time of the incident. The male owner and three other men were captured on other surveillance pictures buying food at Jade Harbor restaurant at 10th and Race on the night that the accident happened.

A tip to investigators suggests that the owner of the Jeep owns an electrical service in the 500 block of Pusey Avenue in Collingdale. It is also said that business at the electrical shop where the Jeep was found has reduced.
