Tractor-Trailer Strikes Bus on I-78 in Northampton Injuring 26
Williams Township, Pennsylvania (August 20, 2017) – 26 people were injured after a car collided with a tractor-trailer on Interstate 78 Sunday morning.
According to State Police based in Northampton County, the incident occurred at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday, August 20 on Interstate 78 in Williams Township.
Police say that the tractor rear-ended a bus causing it to overturn and land on its side.
Twenty-six people sustained various injuries and were taken to local hospitals.
The truck driver, however, was not injured.
The police have not released any information on the owner of the private bus or where it was headed prior to the crash.
