2 Injured in Shrewsbury Hit-and-Run on North Main Street in York County

2 Injured; William Raffensberger Arrested for Shrewsbury DUI Hit-and-Run Crash
Shrewsbury Borough, Pennsylvania (September 26, 2017) – William Raffensberger, 33, formerly from Newville, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence which led to an accident in York County.
Southern Regional Police Department responded to the crash at just before 3:30 p.m. September 23, in the first block of North Main Street in Shrewsbury.
According to police, two people had to be extricated by firefighters from an SUV after being struck by another vehicle.
The driver of the car that caused the crash, identified as William Raffensberger, 33, fled the scene on foot.
Police located Raffensberger, and the owner of the vehicle, a female, leaving cornfield on Mount Airy Road in Shrewsbury Township.
Raffensberger was arraigned at York County Central Booking where he is facing several charges including DUI and reckless driving. Charges on the female car owner were still pending.
An investigation into the incident was still ongoing.
