Earnest Yoder and Katie Injured after being Hit by Car in Mifflin County

Earnest Yoder and His Wife Katie Hospitalized following Chevrolet Versus Horse Buggy Incident in Lewistown
Lewistown, Pennsylvania (September 23, 2017) – A man identified as Earnest and his wife Katie were hospitalized after their horse buggy was hit in Mifflin County as they were on their way home from church on Sunday, according to police.
The crash occurred on September 17 on State Route 655 near Metzlers in Lewistown.
According to a witness, Leon Groth, who was following behind, they were within the speed limit when they came upon the horse buggy. Dylan Goss a driver of a 2009 Chevrolet pick-up did not slow down before the impact. He collided with the buggy. The impact sent the buggy forward about 25 feet, and Katie was thrown out of it and Yoder to the side of the buggy.
Katie was airlifted to Altoona Hospital with injuries while Yoder was transported to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Goss and his passenger were not Hurt in the crash.
Police were still investigating the incident to determine cause and liability
