Etienne Longa, 55, Killed in Pedestrian Accident in Northampton County

Lower Mount Bethel Township, Pennsylvania (September 29, 2017) – 55-year-old Etienne Longa, of Lodi, was struck and killed by a vehicle on Route 611 in Lower Mount Bethel Township on Thursday Morning.

Longa, a father to Detroit Lions linebacker Steve Longa, was crossing the road when he was struck by a Ford Escape driven by 54-year-old Tammy A. Tartaglia of Phillipsburg.

According to the police, the fatal incident occurred at about 10:18 a.m. September 28, in the 4800 block of the road also referred to as South Delaware Drive.

Longa was rushed to Easton Hospital in Wilson Borough where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The police are investigating the cause of the fatal collision.
