Girl Hurt in Germantown Auto-Pedestrian Collision on Washington Lane and Cherokee Street

Girl, 10, Struck by Car at Washington Lane and Cherokee Street in Germantown
Germantown, Pennsylvania (September 19, 2017) – A 10-year-old girl suffered injuries after being struck by a vehicle Friday afternoon in Germantown, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.
The incident took place at approximately 4:00 p.m. Friday, September 15 at the intersection of Washington Lane and Cherokee Street.
Police officers stated that the driver of the vehicle struck the young girl then fled without giving aid to the victim.
The girl sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the accident and was shuttled to a hospital for treatment.
The authorities are still trying to locate the hit-and-run motorist.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
