Woman Killed, 2 Children Injured in Collision between Car and Trolley, Philadelphia
Northern Liberties, Pennsylvania (September 27, 2017) – A 63-year-old woman was killed and two children injured in a collision involving a SEPTA trolley in Northern Liberties, Philadelphia, on Wednesday evening.
According to a statement by SEPTA, the fatal accident occurred at about 4 p.m. September 27, on the 400 block of West Girard Avenue.
As per the report, the vehicle collided with the Route 15 trolley killing a woman.
Two children sustained major injuries in the collision and were taken to Hahnemann University Hospital in critical condition.
Nobody in the trolley was injured in the collision.
The SEPTA shuttle buses operate between Front Street and 26th Street on Girard Avenue.
The police are yet to establish the cause of the fatal collision.
