Motorcyclist Injured in Collision with Car on State Street, Erie
Erie, Pennsylvania (October 1, 2017) – An Erie man was arrested following a hit-and-run accident that left a motorcyclist injured in Erie County on Friday afternoon, according to investigators.
The incident was reported on Friday, September 29, at about at 9:23, on State Street.
Authorities say a Cadillac De Ville was pulling out of a gas station on State Street when it collided with a Harley-Davidson Sportster that was heading north on State Street.
The impact of the collision ejected the male motorcyclist from his bike. Paramedics arrived at the scene and attended to the injured rider before he was taken to a Hospital by EmergyCare.
Limited details on the extent of injuries and the identity of the victim were available at the time of the report.
Meanwhile, Paris Bishop, 35, from 1900 block of Glendale Avenue, who was operating the Cadillac, fled the scene of the accident but was later arrested.Charges are pending.
State Street, between 24th and 26th Streets, was closed as the police conducted an investigation.
