Yesterday very early in the morning, a box truck caused major delays on Route 202. The Route 202 truck crash in Chester County caused a right lane and off-ramp to become blocked, ultimately closing the lanes with many people missing work and more. The crash took place between a box truck and another vehicle. Though authorities have not confirmed what happened in the accident, there were many reports of a person trapped in the wreckage.
The Reality of Truck Accidents
Today we want to pay particular attention to truck accidents, as they are growing in intensity in many states across the U.S. Truck accidents are often deadly or lead to injurious scenarios, as trucks are tens of thousands of pounds heavier than motor vehicles. This means that, when you are involved in a truck accident, you can expect to walk away with injuries. And if a truck driver acted negligently in your claim, you may be able to compensate for these injuries.
Truck drivers put motor vehicle drivers at risk every day in the U.S. for a variety of reasons. Some of these reasons include driving while intoxicated, driving while distracted, and driving drowsy. Sometimes, truck drivers disobey the rules of the road or break the hours of service regulations that they must abide by on our roads.
If you decide to move forward with your personal injury claim after a truck accident, you want to identify the proper defendants. Sometimes, the driver is liable for your injuries, while other times the company, cargo loader, or manufacturer could be responsible for your injuries. This is why it is important to seek the help of an attorney if you have been injured in an accident. At Edelstein Martin & Nelson, we care about the outcome of your case.
