Two Police Vehicles Responding to a Shooting Crash in Philadelphia

Police Vehicles Crash in PhiladelphiaAt the end of the day, we depend on our police officers to respond to emergencies in a timely manner. Nevertheless, sometimes their response is delayed for very good reasons, such as the incident early this morning, which occurred at South 63rd Street and Woodland Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia. No matter what, a motor vehicle accident of this nature will always be disconcerting to those involved, regardless of the reasons for it.

According to Philadelphia police, the accident happened after officers were dispatched to the scene of a shooting, shortly after midnight. A police cruiser and an SUV, who were both responding to gunshots fired at the intersection of Angora Terrace and 57th Street, collided with one another just a few blocks away from the crime scene. All three police officers who were involved in the wreck were taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The officers involved in the collision are suffering from minor injuries tonight, while the apparent victims of the shooting were a 15-year-old male and a 21-year-old male, both of whom had their hands injured during the shooting. The two victims of the shooting are currently in stable condition as well. Right now, families of the victims are surely thankful that they are working with hand injuries as opposed to wrongful death suits.
