Driver Extricated after 2 Big Rigs Collide in Wilkes-Barre Township
Luzerne County, Pennsylvania (August 24, 2017) – One big rig rear-ended another one causing a driver to be injured in Wilkes-Barre Township this Thursday, according to state police.
The crash occurred at about 4 a.m. on Interstate 81 near the Highland Park Boulevard exit near Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County.
Emergency crews had to extricate a driver who had been trapped in one of the trucks
The crash scene was cleared by 11:45 a.m.
Limited details regarding the cause of the crash, the identity of the victim and if the victim was taken to a hospital were available.
Authorities are still investigating the wreck to determine its cause and liability.
