Harrisburg Police Officer Suffers Concussion in Two-Car Crash on North 3rd and Foster Streets

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (August 27, 2017) – A Harrisburg Police officer was injured and hospitalized after two cars collided near the Uptown Area on Saturday morning, according to police.
The accident took place shortly after 9.00 a.m. August 26, on North 3rd and Foster Streets in Harrisburg.
An officer was responding to a call in the Uptown Area with full lights and siren on. The officer was crossing 3rd and Foster Streets when the cruiser hit a car heading westbound.
The officer and the driver of the other car were hospitalized, and the officer was diagnosed with a concussion. The other driver was released.
The two vehicles were towed from the crash site.
The name of the officer had not yet been released
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
