3 Injured in Accident Involving Motorcycle in Mifflintown in Walker Twp
Mifflintown, Pennsylvania (September 21, 2013) – Three people were injured in a car-motorcycle crash in Mifflintown, Juniata County, on Monday night.
According to a news release by Pennsylvania State Police – Lewistown, the incident was reported at about 10:08 p.m. September 18, in the area of 3860 Cedar Springs Road near Doe Run Road in Walker Township.
As per the report, a maroon Plymouth Breeze was northbound on Cedar Springs Road when it veered off the road, struck an embankment, skid and rolled several times before stopping in the center lane. At the same time, a blue Kawasaki motorcycle had been following the vehicle and the driver, 33, from Mifflintown, could not stop early enough to avoid a collision with the vehicle.
A 25-year-old male passenger in the car was ejected and landed on the roadway of the opposing lane of travel where he was reportedly hit by another vehicle.
The 23-year-old driver from Mifflintown and the motorcyclist were also injured.
The passenger and the motorcyclist were airlifted to hospitals in the area for treatment.
