9 Students and Driver Injured in Pittsburgh School Bus Crash

10 Hospitalized in School Bus-Van Crash in Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (August 14, 2017) – Students of a high school band were injured when the bus they were traveling in was rear-ended by a van in Pittsburgh, Police reported.
The accident occurred Monday morning, August 14 in Pittsburgh as the students were heading to perform at Kennywood Park.
A van carrying the band’s equipment rear-ended the vehicle causing injuries to several people.
Nine students and the driver of the bus were transported to hospitals for treatment of minor injuries.
A video footage showed students being treated by EMS workers on the roadside while others were seen being loaded into ambulances.
A New Brighton Area School District van was also seen with its front-end crushed and air bag possibly deployed. The van was towing a trailer emblazoned with a lion mascot and the words “Marching Lion Pride”
There were no other details given about the crash.
Police are investigating the collision.
